Eco-Friendly Fuel Efficient Cars

Their are so many eco friendly fuel efficient cars how do you know which one is for you? To honor Earth Day, going green and living environmentally responsibly is on a lot of people’s mind. While there are a lot of small things you can do to reduce your carbon footprint, cars are still one of the leading causes of CO2 admissions, making them a great place to focus on improving.

Fortunately for the atmosphere, “there is a growing market for hybrid and fuel-efficient automobiles.” I asked Ben Cochrane of Go Auto which cars were the most eco to help you decide which car would be perfect for your next green ride. Diesel Engines - Hybrid Engines - Electric Engines.

Are green autos helping with the petrol prices? New and fuel-efficient cars can cut the Kingdom’s gasoline subsidies by 40-55 per cent, according to automobile exporters. In separate interviews with The Jordan Times, auto sector “stakeholders urged policy makers to consider reducing taxes on hybrid cars” – and placing a three-to-five year age limit on vehicles imported to the local market to cut down the country’s rising oil bill and fuel subsidies.

They said such moves can reduce the consumption of oil derivatives, which are subsidised by the government, between 40 per cent and 55 per cent. According to Gas Stations Owners Association (GSOA) figures, Jordanian motorists consumed 1.416 billion litres of petrol in 2011, 100 million litres higher than the volume in 2010.

Have you asked yourself how the world is  doing on our climate goals? The IEA doesn’t just look at recent trends in greenhouse-gas emissions — after all, those can rise and fall with the economy. Instead, “it looks at what clean-energy technologies are actually coming online.” If the world wants to avoid a 2°C rise in global temperatures  then we’ll need a certain amount of low-carbon infrastructure in place by 2020, the IEA says.

That means a mix of wind turbines, nuclear reactors, energy-efficient cars and buildings, and so on. And, for most of those things, countries are way behind. If the world wanted to make a concerted push to meet this 2°C target, the IEA notes, then all of these different sectors — from electricity to vehicles to buildings — would have to chip in to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Where you aware that women prefer smaller vehicles and imported brands? I was reading Some stereotypes turn out to be true – as a new survey by United States website “TrueCar.com found out about the difference between male and female car buyers.” According to Forbes magazine, men want brawny and flashy cars, while women want imports and smaller vehicles. TrueCar.com, which provides car-shopping information to consumers, provided an in-depth look at buying habits according to gender, with the kind of results that show why the market is dividing the way it is.

Women buy a little over half the number of cars sold in the United States, and take part in 80 per cent of all family car-buying decisions, according to traditional industry statistics. And now, with so many women in the workplace they are sometimes a family’s bigger breadwinner, a factor that some car companies forget. The TrueCar.com study found: * Sixteen of the top 20 brands with the highest percentage of female buyers last year were import brands. That includes Fiat, whose cars are sold by Chrysler dealers in America. But Chrysler itself did not fare that well with women buyers.

I hope you enjoyed this overview of how fuel efficient cars will hep us at the fuel pump of the future.
